Metallock CCW
HYDRO Metallock CCW products are used around the world in the harshest environments to protect metal surfaces from rust, corrosion and water damage. Metallock CCW products excel against the elements and maintain their integrity to ensure the highest performance for:
•Corrosion Protection
•Chemical & Abrasion Resistance
•Waterproofing
Once applied, the environmentally safe Metallock CCW coatings form a seamless membrane with outstanding adhesion that completely seals the metal substrate to prevent corrosion and chemical attack.
The highly elastic properties of Metallock CCW provide puncture resistance, flexibility and low permeability in an instant set membrane. Metallock CCW can be applied over lightly rusted metal surfaces, unlike other corrosion liners that need to be applied to “white” metal, to deliver excellent corrosion protection with no blistering or creep so rust cannot undercut the coating.
Compared to many corrosion liners, Metallock CCW offers:
•No fire or explosion hazards when applying
•Less pre-application preparation
•Easy to apply and easy to repair if damaged
HYDRO Metallock CCW products provide safe and cost effective corrosion protection liners suitable for:
•Metal roofing, doors and framing
•Marine vessel, cargo holds, superstructures, decking
•Bag house and air scrubber equipment
•Mine process tanks and I-beams
•Chemical and fertilizer storage and process tanks
How Does Metallock CCW Work?
Applied as an ‘instant-set’ coating Metallock CCW products mechanically adheres to the metal surface filling even the smallest surface imperfections to completely seal and lock out water and air from the metal surface preventing rust and corrosion from forming.
The combination of bitumen and elastomeric polymers in Metallock CCW products provide superior adhesion and elasticity that prevent creep and undercutting when the liner is damaged and maintaining edge integrity when curing.
The resulting Metallock CCW products have the following additional features:
•Excellent salt water resistance
•Low permeation, water and air (exceptional waterproofing)
•Chemically resistant
•Elasticity, flexibility, to resist cracking
•Spray applied for ease of application
How is Metallock CCW Applied?
Metallock CCW product are cold applied as a liquid at ambient or sub-zero temperatures and cure to form a fully adhered, seamless and flexible membrane.
All Metallock CCW products can be applied to the surface using a sprayer, brush or roller that will result in a 40 mil to 80 mil-dried coating, depending on the application. Metallock CCW can be applied to produce an “instant-set” membrane that is ideal for building thickness on both horizontal and vertical surfaces.
Unlike other conventional waterproofing or protective coatings, the application benefits reduce labor costs and increase worker safety.
•No open flame or hot liquid to apply
•No toxic and flammable solvents
•No seams to seal or adhesives to apply
HYDRO Metallock CCW product provide long term corrosion and waterproofing where temperatures vary from -40 ̊C to 80 ̊C. In addition to superior protection Metallock CCW product provide contractors flexibility in application, including instant-setting spray application that can be applied at below freezing temperatures.
